Figures released for the period up to Feb 08.
Recently released figures from The Office for National Statistics show a record low for the amount of people being made redundant. For the three months to February 2008 the redundancy rate was 4.2 per 1,000 employees, the lowest figure since comparable records began in 1995. The figure was down 0.7 over the previous quarter and 1.6 on the year.
