Award winning UK-wide food group with a strong range of brands and significant major own label business, and a leader in the UK cheddar market. The company is also a major player in the liquid milk, dairy ingredients and soft cheese sectors.
The business have a passion for innovation and sustainability and constantly seeking fresh ways of working with partners across the supply chain to drive pioneering solutions to industry challenges. This has been supported by rapid progress on launching new products, and securing new customers in new markets.
As a result of a recent re-structure in its manufacturing team, an opportunity has emerged for a Site Manager in Wales.
The Role
• As Site Manager, you will provide clear leadership to the entire Dairy team
• You will manage all aspects of the operation to achieve the required company standards of safety, product quality, factory efficiency, customer service and cost control, to maximise the site contribution to the profitability of the company
• Provide a safe and hygienic working environment for all employees to create a positive safety culture on the site
• Manage all aspects of the production/engineering processes and resources at the site to ensure products are manufactured to specification.
As site manager you will have direct responsibility for 10 management staff, 120 production team and 8 engineering staff
Ideally you will be degree or HNC/HND qualified in food technology or equivalent. Previous experience of production or site management from the food & drink industry is essential.
You will need to be able to demonstrate clear vision and direction; encourage a high standard in others and work well within a total team environment to achieve overall business objectives. Additionally, you be required to demonstrate the ability to influence both within your own team as well as within a wider business context and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
For the successful applicant Salary would be in the region of £55,000, bonus, healthcare, pension and potential relocation package.
