Today, they are a diversified food manufacturer with strong market positions. They are passionate on delivering the highest quality product to their customers at the lowest cost. Our award winning client who is one of the UK’s foremost food manufacturer’s now seeks a person who has a proven career to date working with protein products. As Operations Director you will need to be capable of managing multi-sites, as you will be required to oversee many UK sites. So, travel and flexibility are critical. However the rewards are high! In your career to date you will already have achieved and possess the organisational, communication and full understanding of today’s modern, food production. Ideally gained from working within a “blue chip” organisation. As Operations Director you are accountable for: · the strategic and operational direction of the business, and delivery of the turnover and profit objectives. · leading an executive team and fairly large workforce you will have full autonomy. · true leadership ability, a strong commercial acumen, a real commitment to developing workable customer partnerships, and a passion for product quality and innovation. You must be someone who takes personal ownership for your product, people and process. The successful candidate needs to be able to: Respond to situations fast and effectively. Work under pressure. Fully understand short shelf life products. Be accountable for delivering company annual business plan and long term goals, service levels, customer communications, team building/motivation and giving a very clear, precise direction. This is a very senior position, with the potential to progress to a higher level very quickly within the company.
