Our client is a market leader within the beauty sector, with a wide range of products covering all aspects – from hair care to luxury bathing. Due to their continued achievements and expansion, our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Unit Director to join the team and lead the agenda for the UK market. This is a great chance to lead a team of passionate and driven individuals, contributing to the profitability and success of one of the biggest names in the beauty industry!

The Role:
The successful Business Unit Director will be responsible for leading the agenda for the entire department, implementing sales strategies whilst also managing the personal development of all employees in the team. The key to success in this role, or any sales role for that matter, is building strong and lasting relationships, both internally and externally. It is the continued nurturing of these relationships where the biggest growth is achievable. By implementing innovative and tailored sales solutions for each client, the Business Unit Director will deliver value in order to reach and then exceed targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a sales strategy across the business, ensuring that our client builds upon their current position as a market leader, whilst also increasing profitability and generating new business relationships. The successful Business Unit Director
will be able to motivate a team of sales professionals, always leading by example. As well as appropriate experience, the successful individual must show passion for the brands our client operates with, with enthusiasm and commitment apparent in everything they do. Business Unit Director must have a track record of high achievement showing an ability to grow and develop businesses and the drive to successfully deliver revenue targets and profit.

The Person:
- Experience leading a team at a senior level, including but not limited to: setting KPI’s/targets and PDP’s
- Proven track record of successfully growing and developing business
- Experience within a blue chip, FMCG environment
- Passion, motivation and drive to lead a department
- Implement and deliver commercially viable sales strategies
- Strong relationship builder, both internally and externally
- Effectively manage and analyse existing accounts, including but not limited to: gap analysis, P+L, JBP
