National Account Manager - Morrisons

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000

Benefits: Car allowance £525 per month, Bonus of 18 – 24% dependant on performance, 25 days annual leave, life cover, BUPA and pension.



Our Client is an international confectionery manufacturer who strives for excellence to maximize worldwide market opportunities. With 160 years in existence creating innovate and creative premium confectionery. They are now looking for a National Account Manager to cover the Morrison’s business.



This high profile position reports to National Account Controller. Based from Head Office 3-4 days per week, you will be responsible for delivering the profit and sales objectives of one of their most important customers.



Key responsibilities:

• Agree and execute a Joint Business Plan in line with agreed account plan.

• Full profit and loss accountability to agreed targets.

• Management of budgets to deliver sales and profit targets.

• Drive incremental account distribution and display.

• Improve case forecast accuracy within company lead times and deliver monthly financial call accuracy to +/- 10%.

• Maintain a full understanding of activities within the Grocery team and ensure co-ordinated activities are implemented.

• Regular updates to Marketing of the key account opportunities and issues.

• Deliver pace to the accounts development and meet agreed account requirements within agreed deadlines.

• Building effective working relationships internally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Services, and Finance.



Preferred candidates will :

o Be educated to degree level or equivalent.

o Be able to demonstrate a sound sales background within a major FMCG organisation.

o Have successfully managed second tier grocers / national convenience accounts over a minimum period of 18 months.

o Be able to work cross functionally both internally and externally.

o Be able to work out of head office at least 3 days per week with travel to Morrisons Head Office at Bradford a minimum of 12 times per year.

In return you will receive an excellent package with a basic salary: £38,000 - £45,000 with car allowance £525 per month, Bonus of 18 – 24% dependant on performance, 25 days annual leave, life cover, BUPA and pension
