Junior National Account Manager

Salary: up to £35,000

Benefits: Car allowance £485 per month, Bonus of 18 – 24% dependant on performance, 25 days annual leave, life cover, BUPA and pension.



Our Client is an international confectionery manufacturer who strives for excellence to maximize worldwide market opportunities. With 160 years in existence creating innovate and creative premium confectionery. They are now looking for a Junior National Account Manager – forecourts.



Reporting to Senior National Account Manager, this position will be responsible for development of Convenience National Multiples serviced via Palmer & Harvey. Requiring close working relations will be required with P&H account manager as well as key personnel within the P&H organisation.

It is estimated that 3 days per week customer interface and 2 days office based will be required.



Job responsibilities:

o Head Office account responsibility for Threshers, Martin McColls, WH Smith High Street and top National Forecourts.

o Agree and execute Joint Business Plans in line with agreed company and channel strategies.

o Full profit and loss accountability to agreed targets.

o Management of budgets to deliver sales and profit targets.

o Deliver monthly forecasts to a variance of 10%

o Implement AYR, seasonal plans and NPD – through correct distribution, merchandising (best in store) and logistical phasing

o Building strong, effective working relationships internally and externally to maximise existing and new business sales opportunities.

o Deliver ‘best practice’ and guidance to the business through execution of ‘best in class’ activities – cross functionally

o Deliver pace to the accounts development and meet agreed account requirements within agreed deadlines



Key Skills and experience required :



o Preferably educated to degree level standard.

o Be able to demonstrate sound FMCG Sales experience

o Proven track record of consistent sales success, with evidence of achieving sustained growth and ability to meet targets.

o Ability to plan ahead and set clear objectives

o Strong long term relationship builder.

o Excellent networking and communication skills.

o High level of tenacity and drive

In return you will receive an excellent package with a basic salary: up to £35,000 with car allowance £485 per month, Bonus of 18 – 24% dependant on performance, 25 days annual leave, life cover, BUPA and pension
