Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arrived for an experienced purchasing professional to join a foodservice company in West Yorkshire for the role of Buyer.



Leader of it’s industry, this company provides a wide range of fresh produce to a variety of customers nationwide. Reputable for it’s commitment to valuing and developing employees, this business focuses on exceptional service to both suppliers and customers.



Within an innovative and driven team, you will become an integral part of the organisation, and will benefit from the established autonomous and honest working culture. You will need the drive and determination to overcome challenges on a day-to-day basis in this fast-paced environment, and will progressively develop your career in this industry.

The following areas will be directly under your influence:

• analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends;

• regularly reviewing performance indicators;

• managing plans for stock levels, reacting to change in demand;

• meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract;

• maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products;

• writing reports and sales forecasts, and analysing sales figures;

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making ability with the desire to succeed in this sector and experience in buying either salad, fruit or vegetables.
